Dennis E. Singleton , , , Chairman

Dennis E. Singleton has served as a director since 2004. Mr. Singleton is currently the Chairman of our Board, Chair of our Compensation Committee and a member of our Audit Committee. Mr. Singleton was a founding partner of Spieker Partners, the predecessor of Spieker Properties, Inc., one of the largest owners and operators of commercial property on the west coast prior to its $7.2 billion acquisition by Equity Office Properties Trust in 2001. Mr. Singleton served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Spieker Properties, Inc. from 1993 to 1995, Chief Investment Officer and Director from 1995 to 1997 and Vice Chairman and Director from 1998 until his retirement in 2001. During his tenure, Mr. Singleton was involved in identifying and analyzing strategic portfolio acquisition and operating opportunities and oversaw the acquisition and development of more than 20 million square feet of commercial property. From 2001 to the present, Mr. Singleton has managed personal investments in real estate. Mr. Singleton is currently a member of the board of directors and serves on the audit and compensation committees of BRE Properties, Inc., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Singleton received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

William Stein , , , Chief Executive Officer

A. William Stein (Bill) is Digital Realty’s Chief Executive Officer and serves on its Board of Directors.

Under Bill’s leadership, Digital Realty has executed a series of transformational transactions that have sharpened the company’s strategic focus and significantly enhanced its product offerings. Bill has overseen a near doubling in the size of the company’s total enterprise value, as well as its recent inclusion in the S&P 500 Index.

Prior to being named CEO in 2014, Bill served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer.

Bill has over 30 years of leadership experience at a wide variety of companies. Before joining Digital Realty in 2004, Bill was with GI Partners (Digital Realty’s predecessor private equity fund); Co-Head of VentureBank@PNC and Media and Communications Finance at The PNC Financial Services Group; President and Chief Operating Officer of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust (now part of iStar Financial); Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust; and he previously held a number of senior positions with Westinghouse Electric, Westinghouse Financial Services and Duquesne Light Company. In addition, Bill practiced law for eight years, specializing in litigation as well as securities and finance.

Bill has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science degree with Distinction from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

Andrew Power , , , Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Digital Realty, Andy served as Managing Director of the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Investment Banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for relationships with over 40 public and private companies, including Digital Realty. Prior to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Andy was employed by Citigroup, where he held similar positions. During his career, he has managed the execution of public and private capital raises in excess of $30 billion, including the largest REIT IPO to date, and more than $19 billion of merger and acquisitions transactions. Andy was part of the lead underwriting team that advised Digital Realty on its initial public offering in 2004 and served as a lead manager on nearly every subsequent public capital raise.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Finance from Wake Forest University.

Jarrett Appleby , , , Chief Operating Officer

Jarrett Appleby joined Digital Realty in April 2015 as the company’s first Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for corporate strategy and global operations, including property and technical operations; design and construction; EMEA and APAC operations; and product management and development.

Jarrett has more than 25 years of experience as a technology leader, spanning strategy, corporate development, sales and marketing, and global operations, including several executive leadership roles in the data center and telecommunications industry. Immediately prior to joining Digital Realty, he served as founder and CEO of the Appleby Group, an independent consultancy advising private equity and technology companies. Previously, Jarrett was Chief Operating Officer of CoreSite Realty from 2012 to 2014, and Chief Marketing Officer of Equinix from 2008 to 2012.

He received Bachelor of Arts and MBA degrees from Lehigh University.

Cindy Fiedelman , , , Chief Human Resources Officer

Cindy Fiedelman is Chief Human Resources Officer at Digital Realty, responsible for leading the company’s global human capital strategy, which includes talent management, leadership development, compensation and benefits programs, and human resources integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to taking on this role, Cindy was Vice President of People & Diversity at American Airlines, where she led the organization-wide integration effort resulting from the $11 billion merger between American Airlines and US Airways. In addition, she led talent management, staffing, compensation and human resources operations globally. She also has held senior-level human resources and operations positions at companies including Avaya, Sun Microsystems and Comcast. Cindy has a proven track record of building teams focused on attracting top talent, transforming organizations, leading human resources activity around mergers and acquisitions as well as the subsequent integration efforts, and creating engaged workforces.

She received a Bachelor of Art degree in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Henry , , , Chief Information Officer

Michael Henry joined Digital Realty in April 2015 as the company’s first Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's IT infrastructure, including business intelligence, internal business applications, and information security. Prior to Digital Realty, Michael was the Chief Information Officer for Rovi.

Michael has more than 25 years of enterprise-wide business and technology experience, including leadership roles at Ericsson, Align Technology, and Applied Materials.

Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco.

Scott Peterson , , , Chief Investment Officer

Scott has over 27 years of real estate experience, including Senior Vice President with GIC Real Estate, the real estate investment entity for the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Scott was also active in investments, development and asset management with LaSalle Partners, a real estate services company, and Trammel Crow Company, a real estate developer. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University.

Joshua Mills , , , Senior Vice President, General Counsel

Mr. Mills joined Digital Realty as General Counsel in April, 2005. Prior to joining Digital Realty, Mr. Mills was a corporate attorney with Latham & Watkins, LLP where his practice included mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and venture capital financing transactions as well as general company representation. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Mills served as Associate General Counsel for McAfee.com Corporation and as an associate with Shearman & Sterling, LLP. Mr. Mills received a B.A. degree from the University of Washington and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Chris Sharp , , , Chief Technology Officer

Chris Sharp has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, with an extensive background in developing technology strategies in global markets. He has a deep knowledge of the data center sector and is well positioned to expand technical innovation at Digital Realty. Most recently, he was responsible for cloud innovation at Equinix, where he led the development of innovative cloud services solutions and developed new capabilities enabling next-generation, high-performance exchange and interconnection solutions, facilitating broad commercial adoption of cloud computing on a global basis. Previously, Mr. Sharp held leadership positions at top network and colocation providers, including Qwest Communications, MCI/Verizon Business and Reliance Globalcom.

Daniel Papes , , , Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing

Daniel (“Dan”) Papes joined Digital Realty in October 2016 as Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing. He oversees sales, leasing and marketing efforts across the organization.

Prior to joining Digital Realty, Dan served as Executive Vice President for North America at Unify, formerly Siemens Networking Systems, managing all aspects of that business until its acquisition by Atos in 2016. At Unify, he established a new leadership team and led significant growth in sales, revenue and profitability. Before joining Unify, Dan was with Westcon Group as Senior Vice President, Global Cloud and Data Center Services. Previously, he held senior leadership positions over a 27-year career with IBM, primarily in the outsourcing and managed services business, including Vice President of Global Cloud Services Sales and Vice President of Global Telecommunications Industry Sales. He began his career as a sales representative at IBM.

Dan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University.

Christopher Kenny , , , Senior Vice President, International

Christopher (Chris) Kenney serves as Senior Vice President, International, and is responsible for the company’s interests outside of North America. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Acquisitions & Investments. Chris has played a key role in Digital Realty’s external growth initiatives since its initial public offering in 2004. Prior to joining the company, Chris served as a Partner at GI Partners, Digital Realty’s predecessor private equity fund.

Chris has over 25 years of institutional real estate investment experience. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Acquisitions for CBRE Investors, where he was responsible for the sourcing, underwriting and acquisition of office, retail and industrial properties on behalf of numerous pension fund clients. Previously, Chris also worked as a Research Analyst for Green Street Advisors, a leading independent real estate research firm.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and Real Estate) from the University of Florida. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

William Bradley , , , Senior Vice President of Partners, Alliances and Strategy

William (Bill) Bradley is Senior Vice President of Partners, Alliances, and Strategy at Digital Realty, responsible for leading the company’s Partner and Alliance Program and developing the firm’s corporate strategy.

Prior to taking on this role in April 2015, Bill served as Digital Realty’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. He joined Digital Realty following a 17-year career in investment banking including six years at Credit Suisse where he most recently served as a Managing Director in Credit Suisse’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group, focused on telecommunications service provider and data center operators. Previous to his career at Credit Suisse, Bill held similar positions at Citigroup for nine years. Bill received a Master of Business Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Tufts University.

John Stewart , , , Senior Vice President, Investor Relations

John Stewart has served as Digital Realty’s Senior Vice President of Investor Relations since August 2013. He has over 15 years of financial services industry experience.

Prior to joining Digital Realty, John led the industrial and technology REIT sector coverage at Green Street Advisors, a leading independent real estate research firm. Previously, he was the lead REIT analyst at Credit Suisse. John has followed the REIT sector since 2000, formerly as a member of top-ranked teams at Citigroup Investment Research and Merrill Lynch. John began his career as a credit analyst with the Corporate Finance group at Bank of America.

John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute as well as the New York Society of Securities Analysts. John is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the National Investor Relations Institute.

Edward Sham , , , Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer

He joined the company in September 2005. With more than 20 years experience, his previous positions include Vice President & Controller of Catellus Development Corporation, now part of ProLogis ; Controller of Bay Apartment REIT, now Avalon Bay; and O’Connor Realty Advisors. In addition, Mr. Sham was a practicing CPA for Ernst & Young LLP in their real estate group for seven years. Mr. Sham received a B.S. degree from San Francisco State University and is a member of AICPA and California CPA society.
